Help find the new treatments for breast cancer that families like Bec’s urgently need.

Bec was only 42 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

As she went through treatment and experienced “a nightmare of side effects and complications”, in the back of her mind was the thought that her girls Daphne (4) and Dottie (2) might one day go through it too.

Bec and her daughters need more than hope this Christmas.

They need new and better treatments for breast cancer.

Your donation here now can help make that happen.

Your gift today will support the breast cancer clinical trials research that is essential for finding new treatments – and for saving lives.

For Bec, those new treatments can’t come soon enough.

Since her diagnosis, Bec has been through multiple rounds of chemotherapy, plus surgery and radiation, and some awful side effects and setbacks.

None of these treatments are a guarantee that her breast cancer is cured.

Please donate this Christmas to help find more life-saving treatments for breast cancer.

Both Bec and her mum Jill know the pain, anguish and uncertainty of a breast cancer diagnosis.

Bec lives in fear that she may not see her daughters grow up. She has also found out that she carries a BRCA2 gene mutation, and worries that if her girls have inherited the mutation, they may have a very high chance of developing breast or ovarian cancer one day

“Hope is all I’m holding onto right now,” Bec says. “Daphne is a very sensitive soul. She says to me, ‘When you’re better, I’m just going to squeeze you Mum. When you’re better, I’m just going to squeeze you’.”

Hope alone is not enough to save Bec’s life or spare her daughters from the agony of losing their mum, or from one day enduring what she has.

Like thousands of other Australian women, they need new treatments and cures for breast cancer.

Please, give generously this Christmas, and fund the clinical trials research that can help save their lives.

Your gift this Christmas will give more than hope to:

Bec

Bec is still in treatment for her breast cancer. But even after all she’s been through, none of the treatments give her a guarantee her breast cancer is cured. Your gift today will support more clinical trials like the one Bec took part in, so that we can find better treatments which could help save her life.

Bec carries a BRCA2 gene mutation. If her daughters inherit that mutation, they’ll also have a very high risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. With your help, by the time Daphne and Dottie grow up there will be gentler and more effective ways to treat breast cancer – and maybe even prevent it altogether.
