A MOTHER’S DAY GIFT THAT MEANS SO MUCH MORE

01/05/2013

It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday 12 May and the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia (BCIA) has a very special gift idea.

By making your gift for Mother’s Day a donation to breast cancer research, you and your mum will be supporting research for a world without breast cancer. And wouldn’t this be the best Mother’s Day gift of all?

Make your donation today. You will receive a beautiful Mother’s Day card to give to your mum or someone special which acknowledges your donation.

Jenny Leggett, Public Relations Manager of the BCIA, said “Our Mother’s Day Research Appeal is a special way to celebrate and honour all mothers, including those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer and those we have sadly lost.”

Mrs Leggett said the essence of the Appeal has been captured in the feedback from people who have already chosen this unique and inspiring gift for their mother. Some of the messages include:

Donate now and help support this important research that is saving women’s lives. Breast cancer has affected my family in the past five years. I cannot think of a better gift for my mother than to donate money towards breast cancer research.

As a mother of two beautiful girls I think this is a wonderful idea for a Mother’s Day present. I have the most amazing mother in the world who I consider to be my best friend. She is a breast cancer survivor and is an absolute inspiration! My mum always says she doesn’t need presents, so I love being able to send her a lovely card through the Mother’s Day Appeal and know I am supporting research.
